Which board game features the squares Boardwalk and Park Place?

Monopoly - and its origin is close to the opposite of what the game became. It descends from The Landlord's Game, patented in 1904 by Elizabeth Magie, an American writer and Georgist who designed it to demonstrate how land monopoly enriches landlords and impoverishes everyone else. It had two sets of rules: one where all prosper when wealth is shared, and one where the aim is to ruin your opponents.

The second set was the popular one. The game spread by being copied and hand-made, particularly among Quakers in Atlantic City - which is where the street names come from - and Charles Darrow learned it from friends, redrew it, and sold it to Parker Brothers in 1935 as his own invention. He became the first millionaire game designer. Parker Brothers bought Magie's patent for 500 dollars and no royalties, and published her game briefly and without promotion.

So the best-selling board game about crushing your rivals through property speculation was invented as an argument against property speculation, and its inventor was bought out for the price of a used car. Magie gave interviews at the time pointing this out and was largely ignored; her role was recovered by an economics professor in the 1970s while he was being sued by Parker Brothers over a game called Anti-Monopoly.
